| Describe something you own which is very important to you. You should say: Where did you get it from? How long have you had it? What do you use it for? And explain why it is important to you. |
Đây là dạng đề bài thuộc chủ đề lớn Favourites. Để hoàn thành tốt dạng đề này, thí sinh cần bám sát vào các câu hỏi gợi ý mà đề đưa ra, cung cấp rõ thông tin chi tiết, tránh rơi vào trường hợp nói chung chung.
Mở đầu bài nói, thí sinh cần trình bày bạn nhận được đồ vật quan trọng đó ở đâu. Câu hỏi này khá dễ trả lời, tuy nhiên thí sinh nên chọn đồ vật quen thuộc nhất để có thể trình bày một cách rành mạch về quá trình mua được đồ vật ấy.
Sau đó, thí sinh cần đi sâu hơn vào bài nói với câu hỏi thứ hai, trả lời thông tin bạn đã sử dụng đồ vật đó trong bao lâu. Trước khi trả lời câu hỏi này, thí sinh có thể miêu tả sơ lược những đặc điểm tổng quan của đồ vật đó.
Tiếp đến, thí sinh cần trình bày cụ thể hơn mục đích mình sử dụng món đồ, qua đó thể hiện bối cảnh cụ thể mà bản thân thường sử dụng món đồ đó.
Cuối cùng là phần quan trọng nhất, chính là giải thích lý do tại sao món đồ vật ấy lại là vật đáng giá với bản thân. Thí sinh nên dành nhiều thời gian nhất cho phần này, trả lời một cách rõ ràng, mạch lạc và đúng trọng tâm.

IELTS Speaking Part 2 Sample Describe something you own which is very important to you
Everybody has something they cherish. My color palettes, crayons, paints, and brushes come to mind. My folks have bought the majority of them. They have various talents. My whole family is aware of my interest and enthusiasm for painting and other forms of art.
They’ve been mine for a very long time. I purchase a new file after using up one. Actually, as long as I don’t waste the paint and colors I buy, my parents don’t object.
I paint with my beloved sets because I think art conveys the thoughts of its maker. Painting, in my opinion, is comparable to composing poetry. Amazingly, a single artwork may convey an entire narrative that is available to a variety of interpretations. Therefore, you will typically find me sitting with a blank canvas and artistically painting it during my free time.
Since I was a little child, painting has been my love. On a piece of paper, I would draw a cabin, some trees, and the word “home.” I did, however, have certain guidelines. The sun must be seen midway from one side of the page or between the two mountains, and rivers must always flow between two mountains. I recall how pleased they previously made me feel when I look back at these paintings that my mother had conserved with such care. Those papers are still stacked up in my cabinet. They always make me grin and remind me how my mood enhancer was when I was a child.

Yes, I think so. More recent technology has become pervasive and is widely used. This is partially due to the fact that modern technology has allowed inventors and manufacturers to create a broad variety of electronic products that may satisfy modern consumers’ wants. Users are also more tech-savvy than ever before, which explains why more and more people are eager to buy a variety of devices to learn more about the newest technological trends or just to make their lives much simpler.

Most of the young people where I live have cellphones and computers. Given that they enable users to keep in touch with friends and family and have access to a vast amount of information, it is not overstating things to claim that smartphones are the most often used devices. They even help young users with daily tasks, the majority of which can be completed quickly and conveniently online using a mobile device. In addition, because of their adaptability, laptops are also liked by young people. They are optimized for both gaming and video editing in addition to being utilized for business. Since they are portable, users may easily do their tasks wherever they are.

Is possessing something valuable considered a status in your country? if yes why/ if no, why not?
I guess, sort of. Many people today still find it difficult to make ends meet, much alone afford to acquire opulent goods like designer clothing and accessories, a car, or a home. Thus, being able to buy the aforementioned items and similar items is unquestionably a symbol of prestige. This demonstrates that you at least maintain financial stability and participate in society in some way.
