The table below shows social and economic indicators for four countries in 1994, according to United Nations statistics.
The given table depicts four different indices to measure the social and economic development of four countries in the year 1994, based on the data provided by the United Nations.
Overall, there is a significant difference between the statistics for developed and poor nations. The former, which included Canada and Japan, had significant favourable social and economic indicators, whereas the latter, which included Peru and Angola, suffered from poor income, inferior daily nutrient intake, a low literacy rate, and short life spans.
In terms of income per person annually on a yearly basis, Canadians earned around 10000$, which was two-thirds of that amount of money made by Japanese people. Meanwhile, the average earnings of citizens in Peru and Angola were significantly lower, occupying a mere 1% of the figure for Japan. In addition, on average, people in developed countries tended to live 28 years longer, as compared to around 50 years of age in developing areas.
Furthermore, it is quite worth noting that, at more than 3000 and 1500 calories per day, respectively, a person in Japan consumed twice as many calories as one in Angola. Only 68% and 34% of adults in Peru and Angola, correspondingly, were educated, compared to the vast majority of individuals in Canada and Japan.

The most important function of music is that it helps people reduce stress. To what extent do you agree/ disagree?
People nowadays have a tendency to get stressed up easily because of numerus over-polluted information on the internet. Therefore, music has become a herculean solution for people to relieve themselves from their hard times. In the course of this essay, I would discuss the given statement objectively before drawing on a rational conclusion.
Surprisingly, music has been involved along with humans since the ancient time period which includes many social activities and sometimes represents and classifies other cultures. In particular, music is designed to please human emotions and modifies behaviours. For example, nightclubs tend to play vibrant music to keep people dancing and enjoy the entertaining atmosphere. Furthermore, music has become more accessible than ever thanks to technological innovation. Additionally, it creates brand-new contemporary musical genres that cater to modern listeners. In detail, everybody would have access to the whole world of music as long as they have a quality smartphone and a working internet connection. Therefore, music is quite helpful for someone who simply needs a place to escape from their busy life.
Contrarily, music could periodically convey a lot of false ideas and arbitrary notions that might corrupt others and possibly spread across the entire society. As a result, those who are impacted may have a gloomy outlook on life, which might have unfavourable effects. Many songs in Japan deal with hating life, which makes the listeners miserable and ultimately leads to suicide.
In conclusion, there is no disputing the importance of music in assisting individuals during difficult circumstances. However, for people who are emotionally weak or inexperienced, it could be a double-edged sword. Despite this, music consistently emerges as the most practical and straightforward way for individuals to add more colour to their lives.
- Herculean (adj): vĩ đại, vô cùng
- Vibrant (adj): sôi nổi, sôi động
- Arbitrary (adj): vô lý, chủ quan
- Gloomy (adj): buồn chán
- A double-edged sword (n): con dao 2 lưỡi

Tập trung vào 2 lý do
