1. Who is your favourite celebrity in your country?
Frankly speaking, I really don’t pay attention to any Vietnamese celebrities since I am not interested in national showbiz. Of course I can name some of them: Bich Phuong, Hoa Minzy, Duc Phuc, Thanh Duy, Truc Nhan,… but if you ask me if I idolize anyone, my answer should be “No”, as a matter of fact.

2. What types of people become famous in your country?
I would say that not only rich and powerful people, but music artists, movie stars, cultural celebrities, successful sports people also usually fall into the categories of celebrities. However, there still exist the type of “infamous‘” people that would likely do controversial things to gain fame, even in a short time but it would help them make a good amount of money.

3. Do you like any foreign celebrities?
Well, not for now, but in the past when I was in university, I used to be a fan of two well-known Korean boy groups called EXO and NCT. Their incredible singing and performing abilities, as well as personalities, have left a significant impression and influenced me a lot back then.

4. How do celebrities influence their fans in your country?
I suppose social media nowadays is playing a vital role. On the one hand, famous people can post positive stuff like encouraging their fans to take action to protect the environment or inspire them to love themselves more, but on the other hand, celebrities can also share negative information that could mislead a majority of their fans into such pessimistic things that we couldn’t imagine.

5. Would you like to be a famous person?
No, not worth it. I prefer having an ordinary life with my loved ones rather than being a public figure and risking suffering from various problems when the curtains close.

Đối với 2 đề trên, ta thể nhóm chúng lại thành một và sử dụng chung một dàn ý: một người nổi tiếng (ca sĩ) mà ta ái mộ và theo dõi trên mạng xã hội. Tuy nhiên, ta sẽ có 2 cách mở bài khác nhau như sau:
Mở bài “A favourite famous person”: At present, I really don’t have my favourite celebrity, but I remember having an idol in the past when I was about 18 or 19 years old. He is a young singer who touched my heart with all his kindness, hard work and willpower.

Mở bài “A famous person you follow on social media”: It is quite common among people to follow celebrities on social media rather than just watching them on screen or reading about them in magazines, as it gives them the feeling of being virtually connected with them. So today, I would like to talk about a celebrity that I adore and follow on Instagram.
- To be virtually connected (v): có kết nối ảo, mối liên hệ ảo
Thân bài: His name is Nakamoto Yuta, although being Japanese, he is currently participating as a member of the Korean boy group NCT. The year 2016 was when I knew about him through an article that announced the debut of his group with the MV “Fire Truck”. Back then I was interested in learning Japanese so his name caught my attention and I was immediately hooked by his outstanding performance. I have been following him on social media since then. I really loved the way he sings and the way he expresses the feeling of the song. Plus, Yuta has always worked seriously to give high-quality music products. Not to mention that he has a really attractive smile.

Besides talent, Nakamoto Yuta is beloved for his good-heartedness. He is a thoughtful and gracious person who cares the most for his fans. On Instagram, he always posts motivational thoughts, pictures, and videos that relate to his work. Sometimes he would live stream on Instagram as an opportunity to interact with worldwide fans – when he takes off his celebrity side and becomes a close friend to his fans, to talk about his days and even give the fans helpful life advice with determination and positivity.

1. What are the hardships of a celebrity?
While there are a lot of great reasons to be rich and famous, it’s often a lot harder than you might think. From suffering too much pressure from the audiences and society, lack of privacy, being a target for crime, to health problems, etc. Being rich and famous may sound glamorous, but it’s not always as good as it seems.

2. Do you think the media is putting too much attention on famous people?

3. What should celebrities do to protect their privacy?
To my mind, there are numerous ways famous people could think of, such as monitoring their fame, being consistent in dealing with the media or learning from other’s experiences, but to be honest, I don’t think they are completely effective since the invasion of privacy is inevitable for a public figure, especially top stars. If you want to earn more, you have to sacrifice more, as people always say.
