IELTS Speaking Part 1: Dreams
1. Do you often remember your dreams?
Not reaIly. Some of the dreams that I have had are quite vague, which is really hard for me to recall. Additionally, I consider myself an absent-minded person, so my mind usually goes blank once I wake up.

→ Việc nhớ được nội dung giấc mơ có vẻ khá là khó, do vậy chúng ta cứ thành thật trả lời. Tuy không hay nhớ về giấc mờ nhưng với câu trả lời sử dụng nhiều từ nâng cao như câu trả lời trên rõ ràng vẫn gây được ấn tượng với giám khảo nhé.
2. Do you like to listen to people’s dreams?
Absolutely, I find it really intriguing to listen to someone’s dreams. I usually try to interpret them because I firmly believe that God is trying to give us an alert or subtle reminder which we can ferret out what may happen to us in the future.

- Alert (n): sự báo hiệu
- Subtle (adj): tinh tế
- Ferret out (v): khám phá
→ Việc tìm hiểu về giấc mơ của người khác có thể giúp chúng tả có thể khám phá được những điểu xảy ra trong tương lai đấy.

3. Do you think the dream has a special meaning?
Well, most of our dreams usually slip away once we’re awake. However, some remain really vivid in our memory, which are believed to be omens. Therefore, such manifest dreams may explain something special that we’re not really aware of.

- Vivid (adj): sâu đậm
- Omen (n): điềm
- Manifest (adj): rõ ràng
→ Với một câu hỏi dạng Yes/ No, chúng ta hoàn toàn có thể đưa ra ý kiến của bản thân trước khi đưa ra kết luận cuối cùng về nội dung của câu hỏi.
4. Do you like to study about dreams?
Well, I would say that I am really keen on delving into what dreams may bring us because mounting scientific evidence has proved that dreams can reveal our own unconscious desires and motivations. Figuring out what can drive me will possibly help me be a better version of myself.
- Delve into (v): tìm hiểu
- Mounting scientific evidence (phrase): nhiều bằng chứng khoa học
- Reveal (v): tiết lộ
- Unconscious (adj): tiềm thức
- Drive (v): tạo động lực
→ Ở câu trả lời này, việc sử dụng cụm “mounting scientific evidence” sẽ giúp câu trả lời của chúng ta mang tính thuyết phục hơn các cụm “ I think, I believe …”.

IELTS Speaking Part 2: Describe a story someone told you and you remember
IELTS Speaking Part 2: You should say:

Sample
As a little kid, I grew up listening to stories told by my grandmother and it was one of my bedtime rituals. Now, I am going to tell you about the story that is really unforgettable to me.
The story was all about “Saint Giong “ who is a mythical hero of Vietnam during the reign of the Sixth Hung King. He represents the patriotism among our forebears to battle against foreign invaders. I vividly remember that the story began with a miserable woman who unexpectedly conceived after placing her foot on an enormous footprint left by an unspecified man. After a 12-month period, she gave birth to a little boy named Giong.
He remained motionless and did not make a sound until he reached 3 years old when The King sent messengers out to every corner to discover a hero capable of protecting the homeland and repelling the attack from the Ân enemies who was trying to ravage the country at that time. All of a sudden, he abruptly stood up and told his mom to inform the herald of what he needed to combat the enemies. Later on, Gióng’s appetite grew voraciously, and his body’s growth accelerated, soon making him become a jacked man. After routing the enemies to bring peace back to the land, he rode up to a mountain and ascended to Heaven.
The reason why I can memorize the details of this story for such a long time is that the meaning behind it can actually represent how patriotic and courageous our ancestors were, which I can really take pride in.
To be honest, I really miss my grandma and I wish that I could listen to her tales every time I go to sleep although I know it will never come true.

→ Đến với chủ đề này chúng ta có thể kể về thói quen nghe bà kể chuyện trước khi ngủ và kể về một câu chuyện nào đó mà chúng ta cảm thấy nhớ nhất. Ở câu trả lời này, chuyện Thánh Gióng đã được mô tả ngắn gọn và súc tích, đủ để đáp ứng yêu cầu ở câu hỏi này.

1. What stories do children like to read?
In my opinion, It entirely depends on their personal interests. Some are fond of reading fairy tales and some find it really fascinating to read about Greek mythology as long as they can comprehend the underlying meaning each story coveys, which, I think, matters the most.

→ Với câu hỏi này, câu trả lời sẽ không đào sâu quá về các loại truyện trẻ em đọc nhưng chúng ta sẽ huớng câu trả lời về giá trị của việc đọc những mẩu chuyện này. Ở đây chúng ta đã đưa ra chuyện cổ tích và Thần Thoại Hy Lạp như là hai ví dụ về những câu chuyện trẻ em hay đọc.
2. Why do children like stories?
There is a host of reasons why many kids are keen on stories. Firstly, they can gain exposure to wonderful creatures they haven’t encountered before. For example, some tales involve fairies casting magic spells in their storylines, which is intriguing to toddlers as never have they seen such a thing in their everyday life. Additionally, some kids find listening to stories before sleeping really relaxing. As a matter of fact, some parents tend to read a story for their sons or daughters to send them to sleep.

→ Sẽ có rất nhiều lí do để trả lời câu hỏi này. Tuy nhiên chúng ta chỉ cần đưa ra tối đã hai lí do và đào sâu phân tích hai lí do đó bằng cách sử dụng Ví dụ hoặc đưa ra ngữ cảnh thực tiễn để làm rõ chúng.
3. How has technology changed storytelling?
Undoubtedly, the emergence of technology has shifted the way we tell stories. In the past, people listening to a story usually imagined events and characters on their own based on what the teller’s verbal expressions. However, storytelling has become more and more visualisable by the aid of technology as images and other interactive elements can engage listeners while a story are being told. Therefore, people can effortlessly catch up with the storyline.

4. Which one is better, traditional storytelling or the use of technology in storytelling?
To me, digital storytelling is far better than traditional one as the former is much more integrative. Given the fact that the barrier between the storyteller and the listener is no longer an impermeable one if there are visual images and sound effects conducted by technological devices. This means that the listener is able to sufficiently comprehend the content of a story while the narrator doesn’t have to consider much about the choice of words while telling a story.
